Global Business Process

The GBP team is all about delivering rapid innovation, high quality decision making, and best practices across Walmart’s international markets. The team uses advanced process engineering and analytics to maximize productivity in stores, merchandising, replenishment and other supporting functions. In line with Walmart’s mission - "Save Money. Live better", the team’s mission is to improve labor performance, reduce excess inventory, and increase sales and margin potential across the business.


Gopal Krishnan

Gopal Krishnan heads the Category Development & Customer Acquisition / Retention Engineering teams @WalmartLabs Bangalore. He is a seasoned technology leader and has over two decades of experience working in diverse areas in technology & product development. Prior to @WalmartLabs, he was at Adchemy – where he was instrumental in redefining the products, architecture and technologies addressing the SEM space for retailers. Before Adchemy, Gopal spent many years at Yahoo building & engineering very high performance and highly scalable platforms for Yahoo Messenger.

Balu Chaturvedula

Balu Chaturvedula heads the Customer Promise Product and Engineering teams @WalmartLabs, Bangalore. His Organization focuses on all aspects of eSupply chain management, in-bound procurement to outbound delivery including returns and customer care. Balu has over two decades of experience in building engineering excellence products and top talented teams. Balu relocated to India recently after spending 20+years in Bay area and Singapore. Prior to joining @WalmartLabs, Balu was leading the Consumer Internet Platform group at Yahoo.

Sreekumar Bahuleyan

Sreekumar (Sree) heads HR at @WalmartLabs India and is a key part of the India Leadership team. He has been with @WalmartLabs for close to two years. Prior to Walmart, Sree was heading the HR function for Intuit in the Asia Pacific region. Sree has held leadership positions in organizations such as Yahoo! and Ariba during his career. Sree has over 18 years of experience in Human Resource Management spread across Strategic Business Partnering, Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits Management, Performance Management and Operations.

Ashok Upadhya

Ashok Upadhya is the Senior Director – Legal, Ethics & Compliance at @WalmartLabs India. Ashok leads our efforts for @WalmartLabs and Walmart Global Sourcing India Private Limited. Ashok brings with him nearly 17 years of legal experience in areas such as contract management, corporate compliance, privacy and intellectual property management.

Emma Jindal

Emma heads Finance at @Walmartlabs India and has been with the Company for over three years. Emma has around 15 years of experience in different areas of financial accounting, reporting and audit.   Prior to Walmart, she worked for NXP Semiconductors, where she held several positions including Global Controller for their Research division, FP&A @ Corporate Controls in Eindhoven and later with Country Finance at NXP India. Emma has also worked in different roles and different geographies with organizations such and Unilever and Deloitte during her career.
